Who Are We?

Did you ever wonder. . .

Encore! Encore! has three main purposes. First, to offer an evening of quality entertainment. Second, to network Christian performers and third, to provide a setting for friendship evangelism.

The first purpose--quality entertainment--came from an event in 1991 when people were invited to a show as a "thank you" for helping with a drama ministry. Light-hearted entertainment, good food and a pleasant atmosphere seemed like an idea worth expanding and building on. In 1992, Kaleidoscope ran two evenings and sold 175 tickets. By 1995, More Golden Radio ran three performances and sold 500 tickets.

The second purpose--that of networking Christians--has been highly successful. It is a real joy to see talented believers get together to perform with Encore! Encore! and go on to other joint efforts. Throughout Encore's four shows, more than 20 churches have been represented by the 100-plus cast members. And that doesn't include the support staff and technical crew!

As mentioned, our third objective is friendship evangelism. It is our sincere hope that many believers will use the shows to let others hear the gospel in a positive and non-threatening way. Here is a place to bring those looking for the truth but who are uncomfortable in a church.

We hope this clarifies Encore! Encore!'s purpose and beginnings. The planning, prayer and research required to produce the shows have been done by the hand of God and six crazy women. Bonnie-Lee, Joanne, Nana, Faith, Nancy and Nancy covet your prayers as we march toward the next production to the glory of God.
