A commercial appears: Chewey Dewey (John Paul Buttermore), used-car
salesman and brother of Huey Dewey
the lawyer, is hawking his
amazing used-car deals during the "Crazy 8 Days," in which figure eights
figure prominently in the marketing. When promoting the "smokin' deal"
shown at right, Dewey had the gall to say, "Get 'em while they're hot!"
Dewey figured that one sure-fire way of getting the average car-buying
male to pay attention to his commercials (and simultaneously distract
them from noticing how bad the pieces of junk were that he was selling),
is to feature the obligatory gorgeous females: the Car Babes. And Dewey
had some doozies! (Except for the old bag on the right, who bore an
alarming resemblance to Miss Marble--how'd she get in there,
anyway?)
The Car Babes were Kimberly Burke, Mandy Whitner, Kelley Burke, and Tonia Wilson. And yes, then there was that old bag on the right; nobody ever figured out who she was or where she came from. . .

Not surprisingly, the Couch Potato started paying close attention to the commercial when the Car Babes showed up. And when the commercial was over, he sits back in his easy chair and murmurs something about "some serious babe-itude goin' on over at Dewey's. . ." Couch Potato's wife Dumpling pipes up from the kitchens and asks, "What did you say, dear?" Thinking fast, he replies, "Oh, nothing, dear. I, uh, I was just saying that, um, Crocodile Hunter should have some gratitude he doesn't get bitten more often. . ." and he hurriedly changes channels.
