God is Good

As Roger leaves the stage, Kelly Daniel gets up and shouts something made abundantly clear by Roger's story: "God is Good!" And the audience shouts in reply, "All the time!" Kelly then shouts, "And all the time. . ." The audience comes back with "God is Good!"

Then Kelly launches into Don Moen's rousing song God is Good, accompanied by Dave Arns (guitar), Elizabeth Ogg (fiddle), Brad Holcomb (bass), David Grace (piano), and Steve Gottschalk (drums).

After the song was over, the jokesters appear. Here, Daniel Rodgers asks Tamara Faour, "Did you hear the one about the women who got hurt taking a milk bath?" Tamara says, "How could you get hurt taking a milk bath?" Daniel shoots back, "The cow fell on her!"

Tamara then calls up to Kristen Babcock, in the hayloft: "Hey Kristen! Why are most cows noisy?" Showing her scintillating quick-wittedness, Kristen replies, "Because they have horns!" Tamara, a trifle chagrined by such a quick and logical response, asks, "Okay, if you know so much, why do cows wear bells?" Not to be outfoxed, Kristen was ready with the mot juste: "Because their horns don't work!"

Then it was Daniel's turn to try to stump the Oracles in the hayloft. He calls, "Hey Michael! You up there?" Michael Macbeth opens the door: "Yep!" Daniel launches his zinger, "Why did the cowboy take his cow to the psychiatrist?" Michael casually replies, "Because he was mooooody!"

Michael starts closing the hayloft door, and then a profound thought strikes him. He reopens the hayloft door to its fullest extent, strokes his chin thoughtfully, and asks, "If a cow laughed, would milk come out its nose?"
